Pioneer of Quick Release Mechanism
In the 1960s, SLIK introduced the “camera adapter (a type of quick shoe)” as a mechanism for quickly and securely mounting a camera. This mechanism has became the origin of many types of quick release shoes/plates that is now widely used as an industrial standard.

Tripod Load Capacity Standard
SLIK complies with the testing standards of the Japan Photo-Video Accessories Association (JPVAA) to ensure reliable and safe rated load capacities. The load capacity values are determined under severe test conditions and safety margins have already been taken into consideration.
